Ridgeline Management Company is a privately held company, specializing in senior housing operations. It was co-founded in 2002 by Dennis Garboden and Chuck McGlade.
Mr. Garboden and Mr. McGlade have known one another since 1988. They co-founded Ridgeline Management on the premise of joining their collective backgrounds to create a solid senior housing company, specializing in the operations of properties that include assisted living, independent senior living, and Alzheimer's care facilities.
Dennis Garboden is co-founder, owner, President of Ridgeline, and a full-time employee of Ridgeline. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1992, he became a licensed nursing home administrator and subsequently accepted a Regional Manager position for an assisted living management company. In 1999, Mr. Garboden was promoted to Director of Operations and played an instrumental role in the expansion and profitability of that company. At the time of his departure, he oversaw 85 properties that included 5900 assisted living, Alzheimer's, and independent living units across 14 states. Since 2002, Mr. Garboden has applied his extensive senior housing experience to provide a solid foundation for Ridgeline. He has assembled a talented team that shares his vision and enthusiasm for elder living. Ridgeline has already established name recognition in the senior housing industry, and is continually building upon its reputation as an exceptional operator.
Dr. Chuck McGlade is co-founder, owner, and CEO of Ridgeline. He attended Johns Hopkins University (Phi Beta Kappa) and Cornell University Medical College (Alpha Omega Alfa). Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship were completed at UCLA, where he has also served as Chief Resident. Dr. McGlade was Medical Director for the Department of Radiology at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene Oregon from 1993 - 2003. He is a partner in Radiology Associates and has played a key role in practice finances and development including expansion to other markets in Oregon and Alaska. Dr. McGlade is also the founder and managing partner of a commercial real estate development company. Such a background has afforded Dr. McGlade a unique perspective on senior care.
Jean Garboden is the Chief Operating Officer at Ridgeline. Previously she worked as the Director of Marketing with a rapidly growing Assisted Living Management Company in 2000 and 2001. As the director of Marketing, Jean oversaw a sales team for 45-60 projects that were directly responsible for the pre-marketing and lease-up of newly built and acquired assisted living facilities.
In addition, Ms. Garboden has over 20 years of operational experience as the Director of Business Services at 2 large tertiary hospitals; Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon and University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her leadership in operational process improvement, customer service, employee development, and budget management brings sound applicable experience to guide and lead our facilities.
Jennifer Cranford, CPA joined RMC in March 2005. She relocated from Jefferson City, Missouri. She earned a BA in accounting from Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri. She worked in public accounting for three years before moving to private industry as an Assistant Controller for DeLong’s Inc., a steel fabricator in Jefferson City.
She loves the outdoors so Eugene, Oregon is a great place to live. She enjoys hiking with her husband, Anthony, and their two dogs, Wilson and Maggie.
Myrna Dorfman is the Director of Corporate Operations. Previously from New York, she was the merchandise manager of a $50 million company. She also served as the operations manager for a start-up clothing manufacturer, grossing over $3 million the first year. Her business acumen served her clients well as she launched a career in real estate in Chicago.
Upon her move to Oregon in 1990, Myrna put her business experience to work in community service. She conducted a successful grant research and a needs assessment for a non-profit federally funded Community Health Center serving the Eugene/Springfield area.
Myrna was a volunteer coordinator for 4J schools, responsible for fundraising, event planning, budgets, scheduling and marketing. She supervised and hired over 1200 volunteers for the Eugene Celebration, writing job descriptions and coordinating schedules.
In 2003, Myrna joined Ridgeline as the first employee, working with Dennis Garboden in this entrepreneurial venture. Her energy, experience, and passion for excellence prepared her well to coordinate the corporate operations of Ridgeline. A graduate of CCNY (City College of New York), Myrna lives in Eugene with her husband, Paul, her son Brian, and a dog named Sara.

Will joined Ridgeline as general counsel in April, 2006 after serving as the company's primary outside attorney since Ridgeline's formation in 2002. Prior to joining Ridgeline, Will was a partner at Hershner Hunter, LLP, a Eugene, Oregon-based business law firm, where Will's practice focused on business acquisitions, real estate, and formation of business entities. A native Oregonian having grown up in Medford, Will was an All-American tennis player at Notre Dame during college. Will is married to Sarah, who is a landscape designer in Eugene. They have two sons – Matthew was born in January, 2004, and Andrew was born in June, 2006. Will enjoys a variety of sports and outdoor activities, and avidly follows the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Oregon Duck athletic teams.
